Each year in February Rosie and the Rad Tap Team(TM) celebrate San Francisco's annual Tap Dance Day with the "Tour de Tap for Clean Air"(TM). The troupe tap dances across the city in a colorful tribute to tap dancing and the outstanding public transportation systems in the bay area. The choreographed unison tap dancing includes ferry boats, underground trains, street cars and, of course, the beloved cable cars.

The Rad Tap Team(TM) members dance high above historic Ghirardelli Square as they dance along Fisherman's Wharf. The stairs and curbs along the way require special choregraphy and training that allows the tap dancers to dance for miles without fatigue or injuries. The dancers use special extra comfortable tap shoes that are designed to allow them to keep their feet relaxed, even on the cement and other urban surfaces.

The pure joy of street tap dancing brings smiles to the crowds along the way. The Rad Tap Team(TM) makes it look easy but the reason they hold the Guinness World Record for long distance team tap dancing is the Rad Tap(R) Technique. The deep relaxation of their feet allows them to dance for miles, their current record is 9.6 miles of unison tap dancing...it took 6.5 hours!
